You weren't the first contact I had for interest in a Stiltz lift. After driving all the way across town to meet with "another" contractor he called to tell me he couldn't meet ( and I was just 5 minutes away at this point. Well trust is an important part of an expensive business deal such as this and under no circumstance was I going to give this person another try after standing me up from the get-go.
I contacted a Stiltz representative and asked him if there was another contractor in my area, anyone except this other company. That is when I heard about 101 Mobility for the first time. Hint: You might want to consider getting more web exposure because your company never did show up under my initial search efforts. I quickly got a call and an appointment was setup to discuss what I wanted but this time the meeting would be at my house.
"Christian", the company president, showed up right on time, answered all my questions, and had valuable suggestions concerning my needs (a Stiltz Alta Trio Thru-Car) was I had my sights set on and that is what I got. It's the only model that can accommodate a wheelchair.
A soon as the lift was received by 101 Mobility they set a date for installation. For such a large undertaking, the project steadily progressed. All of the craftsmen were professionals and it was clear that they knew their business. Christian isn't just the "big wheel" at his company, he is also very hands-on. As you can imagine, every job they do is customized to some extent. The house layout is different, lift models vary, etc. In my case, the lift wasn't going to go thru the lower level ceiling into a room above - the normal method I'm told. Instead it would go up from my foyer to an upstairs landing and the railing banister would have to be cut and a gate put in. This presented it's own challenges (not the least of which was safety) but they already had it planned out and the install went mostly smoothly - trust me, in a job like this there is always going to be a minor glitch or two. The important thing is how it is handled when it happens. This is what happened to me: Only a few hours after the job was finished, a Friday evening, I discovered a small glitch. I emailed Christian and explained the problem. He immediately got back to me and indicated he would be here the next day himself ( a Saturday) to take a look. Again he showed up when he said he would and he fixed the problem and genuinely seemed embarrassed that it happened. This is the kind of contractor you want - not one who makes empty promises and doesn't stand by their work.
Another example that saved me quite a bit of money. I had no idea that if a doctor writes a prescription for a lift, it can save you the cost of sales tax. In my case, the lift is for my elderly mother whom I am caring for, and she is on medicare. Well, Medicare won't cover any cost of the lift, that burden is all on me. But 101 Mobility, early on, suggested I get the Rx and they would waive the sales tax. We did and they did. Wow!
I called about a problem and an appointment was immediately scheduled. The young technician who arrived, Aaron Hughes, was impressive in all aspects: appearance, manner, and competence. He arrived with a full set of tools, put on a pair of gloves and got right to work. In no time he had diagnosed the problem, the batteries, told us what was involved in replacing them: time & cost, and with our approval quickly got the job done. Additionally he checked out other aspects of the lift, re-lubricated where required. He was a pleasure to watch as he worked - neatly and with no lost motion - leaving all in good order when he left.
A good communicator ... with a good sense of humor. We actually enjoyed the visit!!!

We obviously did some market research and had three vendor home visits before we bought from 101.
101 looked to have a good product and the best price. Our lift was custom built as it was a curved staircase. The guy who visited the house was very knowledgable. He did advise that delivery time could be six weeks and 101 has little control over that.
The installation crew were fantastic and installed the lift with minimum disruption. They cleaned up and gave us very good operating instructions. They made sure the lift performed as intended.
We are delighted with our chair lift and glad we chose 101.
I wrote this review as a public service as I know how important it is to get it right as there are so many other things going on within a family when you have to make the decision about a chair lift.
I have not used the chair much because the house is still under construction. However, I had a party and all the guests were fascinated by the contraption and almost every single person present had a ride on it! It works fine, but moves too slow, but again this is to be expected from a chair meant for senior persons.
I have had no problems with the unit so far. it works fine. Well worth the money i paid for it.
Superb service from Christian's initial visit to our home to complete the assessment, to Christie's assistance from the office on several occasions, to the wonderful job that Aaron and Jeremy did in installing the equipment. Everyone was friendly and yet highly professional and knowledgeable. I have complete confidence in this company and have referred three people already to Christian and 101 Mobility. They solved my needs to modify the home and made it easy. This made it possible to bring my husband home with his disability and have a safe environment. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I was impressed by the immediate response from
the online contact forum, the level of knowledge and care that Christian and his employees presented when speaking about the products and explaining functions, the meticulousness in ensuring products would be implemented with full satisfaction, and the overall expediency in getting everything accomplished. To put things into perspective, I inputted my information on the website for contact at 630 pm, Dec. 21st received a call back by 715 pm, had an appointment set up for the next day at 10:30 AM, and products ordered and installed less than a week later. The fact everything was done so quickly around the holidays was a miracle in and of itself. I greatly appreciate Christian making everything come together as quickly as possible since I was on a time constraint. His assistance allowed me to help my grandparents safe-proof their house and add a stair lift to allow them to stay in their home in a safe environment for their age. I highly recommend this company!
From the first phone call, Christy walked me through the process. Took extra time with me and explained every thing I asked. I was working on a project for a third party, so she was able to contact them and make arraignments to be at their house in between Dr. visits, and kept me informed what I needed to do. She made recommendations that I had not thought of but did not pressure me in any way.
I was at the house when installation was being completed. I believe the guy's name was Aaron. This was a great person to have in front of the customer. I had questions as well as the third party and like Christy, he took the time to answer each question and made sure we were satisfied before he left.
I have dealt with a lot of companies, but never one with this kind of customer service. If I had my own company, I would want folks like this to work for me.

I am so glad that I found 101 Mobility! The staff and owner are so kind. They really care about their customers and understand the needs of people with mobility issues. They went out of their way to make sure that I was going have my wheelchair adapted for the lift in my truck. Then when the lift would not work they worked out a deal with me so that I was able to afford the repairs. It is amazing to find a company so willing to help. I can not thank them enough.
Technician was professional and thorough. Management went made extra effort to make certain my stairlift was installed correctly. The excellent service was done at a very fair cost to me. I will be calling 101 Mobility next time my Bruno stairlift needs service.

Your employees were fantastic to work with, taking plenty of time to address any issues I might have and answer all my questions. Very professional, yet personable. The stair lift product is good. The service provided by 101 Mobility was prompt and courteous. Christine was always available on the phone and answered any questions or concerns we had. She was very helpful throughout the process. Seemed genuinely concerned with our situation and was able to move our installation date up after a problem with shipping by UPS. Aaron was on time for installation and was polite and professional. He had the installation done in 2 hours and explained everything to us. I would highly recommend 101 Mobility.
Christen asked the right questions...do not think about today but how will your mom's health be in another year. From that, we added the power seat option and glad we did.
Christy was very good about communicating with us and making sure we were kept in the loop regarding install, and follow-up to add power seat.
Jeremy came out and showed up on time to install the lift and was very professional and made sure my mom was comfortable and understood how to use the lift.

Your serviceman displayed a thorough knowledge of what the repair required and he quickly fixed our chair lift. He discovered another annoying minor problem that we were aware of and he quickly fixed it too, without being told.
They were amazing... I would recommend them to anyone looking for anything to do with mobility or adaptive equipment. Their customer service is next to none. The lady that helped me was so kind, very efficient in getting me information and called me back quickly. When the gentleman came out to my home he was very professional and serviced my equipment fast! Also took his time to make sure I understood what all needed to be done in the future to help my equipment continue to work in optimum order. I will contoro use 101 Mobility and would recommend them to my family and everyone else!!

Repaired my mom’s Bruno Chair Lift quickly after another company couldn’t identify the problem. Office staff was so friendly and helpful and Tech who showed up to make repair was friendly, knowledgeable and so efficient! We will continue to use A-1 Mobility! Awesome job!!
We are satisfied with the product and the service. The post-one year service contract is insulting! It is totally too expensive for services offered. We were told that if the first service call needs a part that has to be ordered because it is not on the truck, the return installation visit will be another equal charge. Penalizing the customer because the dealer does not have the part is insulting! And $365/year is ridiculous. Checked with another Bruno dealer nearby who will not service what they did not install and they said thus is a ripoff. If you would adjust this to something reasonable we would recommend you. OTHERWISE WE WILL RECOMMEND YOUR COMPETITOR!
We have appreciated having a dependable chairlift to make it possible to remain in our townhome. 101 Mobility quickly installed the chair and is very responsive when we call for cleaning and checkup. We have had it close to four years and it's like new.

Every detail was discussed, communication was timely and very good, helpful recommendations were made, and everyone was very knowledgeable about their product, professional and friendly. From my initial phone conversation with Christy explaining the chairlift to our visit to 101 Mobility's showroom where we were able to see and ride the actual Bruno Chairlift; to Aaron coming out to my house to take the detailed measurements to the final phase of installation done by Christian, Aaron and Jeremy in one day...All was excellent and we are very pleased with our choice to use 101 Mobility for our Bruno Chairlift.
The stairlift we purchased meets the high standard of quality written about in all sources reviewed and video demonstrations we viewed. Christian thoroughly explained the features, warranties, and installation process. Aaron and Jeremy exhibited great team work and skill during the installation. After installation was complete and equipment tested, Aaron demonstrated all aspects of operating the lift and observed my use of the lift.The lift has given our two-story home a much needed safety feature.
We have been beyond pleased with every aspect of our association with 101 Mobility of Houston! We came to them for a patient lift for my husband's elderly mother who lives in our home, after having unsuccessfully tried to get the product elsewhere.
Christy has helped us make up for lots of lost time by being very proactive and prompt in dealing with the doctor's office and insurance companies. All along the way, she has been in touch with us to keep us apprised of her progress. Christy has also been very upbeat and cheerful as she's navigated the insurance maze on our behalf, never seeming to get flustered or impatient.
When I visited the showroom, Christian was very helpful in educating me about the different kinds of patient lifts and slings. He even rolled one of them out to their parking lot to try to determine if it would be compatible for transfers to our vehicle.
We also notice their genuine concern and compassion for the limited-mobility individuals and their family members whom they serve each day.

Everyone at 101 Mobility cared about our safety -- When we ran into repeated problems with our Elite, James especially worked for hours to correct the situation. The final solution required replacing our Bruno Elite with the Elan. The staff was so nice and efficient. We had requested help from several other companies and had no luck. Within a few hours of calling 101 Mobility our questions were quickly answered and the part we needed was ordered. The lift we have is our only means of transferring our 24 year old son, therefore, replacing parts in a timely manner is extremely important to his well-being. We will definitely be calling on 101 Mobility for all our son’s needs in the future.
I wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone who is in need of equipment for disability. As one who is not easy to please, this company was able to please me tremendously. The first time Doc got on the ramp, he stopped, looked around at us with sort of a "who moved the floor" expression. It does not seem to be a challenge now for him.

On Saturday afternoon I called 101 Mobility to rent a lift chair. The office was closed for the weekend. I was too late! But, I left a voice message anyway explaining my needs. Not long after, I received a call back from the owner. He agreed to deliver a new chair the following morning — a Sunday. I got lucky. My husband was being released from the hospital and he was barely able to walk. Renting a lift chair was a last minute thought. I had not planned ahead. 101 Mobility is obviously in business to do business. I must have called 10 other mobility stores, all were closed, and only 101 Mobility allowed me to leave a voice message, the others requested I call back on Monday. I am so pleased with their service and professionalism. This business focuses on making life easier for people with special medical needs. That is exactly what they delivered –even on an early Sunday morning. We are deeply grateful.
I have had a stairlift in my home for my 90 year old mother since 2013. Never had a problem until laast night. I called this morning and a service man was sent to make the needed repairs by 10:00 AM. James was very very professional and provided me with prompt service. He knew his job perfectly. I can not asay enough good things about this company.
